About Me

Hello! friends my name is, Baleseng ‘Basi’ Tau, your friend in Photography. I am a freelance photographer and also own a steel engineering business – www.imagined.co.za. I have been in the creative and printing industry since 2001. I know the printing industry like I know the back of my hand. I am based in Johannesburg – South Africa. Camera is now my medium of expression. I specialise with events and product photography. Click here to view my portfolio.

My clients are mainly people in the creative and design industries – graphic designers; web developers; public relations agents; marketing agents and interior design. I have worked with companies that are not in the creative or design industries too.

I am have received formal and informal training in fine arts (painter),  graphic design, project and business management. I am passionate about photography and printmaking. I enjoy monochrome photography, specifically Black and Whites.

I render photography services for the following:-

2. Food photography
3. Music concerts
4. Product photography (photography for advertising)
5. Public relation campaigns
6. Theatre / Stage

I have been crooked so many times in business and have learned the hardest way to be where I am. I been to University of Hard-Knocks. Only a few survive there, how I survived was just pure determination to succeed in life.  I always see myself as a better person than I am. I am an achiever and I know that success takes sustained effort and laser focusing on your dreams and goals in life.

I am a member of  Soweto Positive Speakers Toastmasters Club and I also do Public Speaking.

I believe in continuous professional and personal development. I will continue to learn and grow within the industries I am involved in, make friends and meet their friends. I am associating myself with people who are better than me (academically, economically and mentally).
